Hallelujah, A Savior is Born
This is a new Christmas song, written in part from Luke 2 and in part from a simple heart of worship. The basic idea of this song has been a subject of much brooding, since last Christmas or possibly the year before. Just in the last couple days specific parts of the text found melodies to dance with.
The presentation is pretty poor but I wanted the song saved and available for listening even knowing (1) I hardly know the song as it's just freshly written, (2) my voice is shot from a long choir practice earlier this evening and (3) I am not the most photogenic songwriter out there.
Technical note: in the prechorus (A Savior, a child, a savior, a king, a savior, son of God) there is intended to be a second voice singing all the quoted lines not 'a Savior'. Less critically this is also true in the chorus ('Hallelujah'). I maintain all rights to this song and its usage, but would gladly permit use if asked. The chord sheet is written and the music is forthcoming.
Enjoy. I welcome all feedback.
Worshiping him always,
Lee Gunter
